Should I buy a DSLR or a Point and Shoot Camera?
From a performance perspective, a DSLR will offer you considerably more than a point-and-shoot digital camera. Most models can take multiple pictures per second. There's no more waiting, pre-flashes or 3-second countdowns to bear after you press the shutter button for the camera to actually take the picture. Additionally, because the imaging sensor - the main light-gathering chip - in a digital SLR cameras is larger and more refined than the one you'll find in a point-and-shoot pocket camera, you'll get better image quality.
